This year Crofton Infant and Crofton Junior Schools together have decided to finish the Summer Term early on Friday 17th July 2009.

This will ensure a calm end to the school year for the children.

Crofton Infant School will close at 1.30pm

Crofton Junior School will close at 1.40pm

It would be very much appreciated if all children can be collected promptly.

Now that we are (hopefully) entering into a period of better weather, please ensure that your child has a sun hat in school to wear during playtime and lunchtime.  Please encourage them to spend some time in the shade if it is very hot and sunny, either under the trees or in the gazebos.  If temperatures become very high, we will restrict the length of time the children are outside.

You may wish to apply long lasting sun cream in the morning before school to protect them during the day.  If you do feel it necessary for your child to have sun cream in school, please make sure the bottle is clearly named and that your child is able to apply it themselves.

As always, drinking water is freely available to the children.

Please see the letters page for important information about healthy eating in school.  The new break-time snack policy comes into effect from next week - Monday 27th April.

You raised a MASSIVE £6,347.70!£3498.42 will be put towards a Sensory Room for the school and £2849.28 will be passed to Team Superschools to support young athletes of the future.  Well done to all the children who took part and a big thank you for being so generous.  The children's prizes should arrive at the beginning of the summer term (we did so well that they are having to order in more supplies!!).
